Prophett Funeral Home was established as a family business in 1860. It operated from a store front in the center of Bridgewater until the 1940s, when it moved to 98 Bedford St.(Rt. 18). After operation by five generations of the Prophett family, the business was sold in 1987 to its present operator Raymond F. Zeoli.
